Back in 1994, the Johnston family, all avid motorcycle enthusiasts, were planning a bike trip, and came to the realisation that there were no specialist transporters of Motorcycles to help them get their beloved wheels to the starting point of their trip. This moment would prove to be a catalyst in founding Bikes Only Transport - afterall who could you trust more to transport your prized motorcycle than a lover of motorcycles?
With a great idea in place, the family began trading from the backyard of their home in the Brisbane suburbs, making decisions at the dining table, and delivering motorcycles using the family ute and trailer.
From these humble beginnings, the business has grown into Australia’s largest dedicated motorcycle transportation company. Employing 35 staff, and travelling over 5,000 kilometres every week through their fleet of 12 trucks - Bikes Only Transport maintains a family atmosphere for all involved with the business.
In 2022, the family is still hands on in the business, on any given day you’ll find them speaking to customers or strapping Bikes down for a long trip.
All of our truck drivers are licensed motorcycle riders and understand the importance of being open and transparent with you, taking good care of your bike.
